KATHY LYNN BRANDENBURG, 57, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at home. She was born June 18, 1954, in Portsmouth, Va. She was preceded in death by her father Bernard "Red" Heffner. She is survived by her mother Mildred "Mickey" Heffner of Chesapeake, Ohio; her husband Gary Brandenburg; one daughter Shannon Brandenburg of Chesapeake, Ohio; one son Jeremy (Susanne) Brandenburg of Huntington, W.Va.; six grandchildren Austin Carpenter, Gavin Brandenburg, Layne Shipkosky, Griffin Brandenburg, Colton Carpenter and Lilian Brandenburg; three sisters Tina (David) Jordan of Chesapeake, Ohio, Rhonda Thomas of Chesapeake, Ohio and Kim (Mark) Hafer of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. She was an employee of Kentucky Power and a member of Ashland Elks #350. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Entombment will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. She was born in Jennings and was a resident of Lake Charles. Mrs. Bertrand was devoted to her family and she enjoyed embroidery. She is survived by her four children, Vickie Harris of Aurora, Indiana, Ricky James Bertrand and wife D’ann of South Point, Ohio, Howard Keith Bertrand of Lake Charles, Trudy Bertrand of Lake Charles; brother, Richard Clement and wife Denise of Lake Charles; sister, Brenda Landry and husband Randall of Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Priszi. Preceded in death by her husband Edward “Mr. Ed” Bertrand. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11:30AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Steve James will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday from 5PM-9PM and will continue Tuesday from 8AM until time of service.

SHERRY ROBERTS HORN, 55, of Gallipolis, OH, died Saturday,
November 26, 2011, in Holzer Medical Center.  Funeral services
will be 1 PM Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Schneider-Griffin
Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating.  Burial will
follow in Miller Memorial Gardens.  Sherry was born March 4,
1956, in Huntington, WV.  She worked as a medical assistant and
attended Faith Baptist Church in Gallipolis, OH.  Sherry was
preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Irene
Whitt; paternal grandparents, Charles and Wilda Roberts; and a
special aunt, Joyce Whitt Pauley.  Sherry is survived by her
husband, Roger Horn; her mother and step-father, Sue Whitt Ison
and Lee Ison; her father, William B. Roberts; three children,
Stephanie DeGraffinreed, Nancy Sue Collins, and Brad Cremeans;
two step-children, Angela Dawn Horn, and Roger Horn, II; three
grandchildren, Kayla Spencer, Deuce Carlisle, and Jonica Carlisle;
one great grandchild, Amirah Roberts; three brothers, Greg,
David, and Ben Roberts; two sisters, Pauline Jenkins and Rena
Roberts; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Reynolds.  Visitation will
be from 11 AM to 1 PM Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral
